General description : For sale in our St. Louis showroom is an Oyster Metallic 1991 Jaguar XJS Classic Collection Convertible. The Classic Collection trim level on the XJS was only available in the United States market. It included lattice aluminum/alloy wheels, a 4-headlight design, and unique emblems on the trunk and hood, with the growler on the hood being gold plated. Powering this Jaguar is an overhead-cam 24-valve 5.3L V12 engine that is rated at 265 horsepower. It features a multi-point fuel injection system with twin spray injectors and is backed by a 4-speed automatic transmission. The exterior is covered in beautiful Oyster Metallic paint that sparkles like a light shade of gold in the sunlight and is accented by the dark brown cloth convertible top. The Doeskin, or light beige, leather interior is also in very good condition, free from any rips, tears, or major signs of wear. The odometer reads 34,489, which represents the actual mileage on the car. Options for this 1991 Jaguar XJS Convertible include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Automatic Convertible Top, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Anti-Lock Brakes, Seat Belts, Driver Airbag, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. The XJS was a luxury grand touring car produced by Jaguar from 1976 to 1996. The XJS replaced the E-Type, also referred to as the XK-E. During its 21 year production run a little over 115,000 XJSs rolled off the assembly line. It was replaced by the updated XK8. The XJS was initially offered only in a coupe body style. A targa version was added, but was not very popular, and by 1988 a full convertible version produced by Jaguar was part of the XJS lineup. The XJS convertible was a success and is still a very sought-after car today. This particular 91' XJS convertible has been pampered its entire life and is ready for a new owner to enjoy it on bright sunny days. About Jaguar XJS
The Jaguar XJS is a grand tourer produced by Jaguar from 1975 to 1996. It was designed as a replacement for the popular Jaguar E-Type, but instead of a sleek sports car, the XJS was a more luxurious and refined grand tourer.

Initially, the XJS was powered by a 5.3-liter V12 engine that produced up to 295 horsepower, giving it impressive performance for a car of its size and weight. Later versions of the XJS also offered a six-cylinder engine option, as well as a supercharged V6 engine.

The XJS featured a distinctive design that was updated over the years, with notable changes including the addition of a convertible model and the introduction of a four-seat option. It also offered a number of luxurious features, such as leather seats, wood trim, and air conditioning.

Despite its luxury focus, the XJS was also a capable performance car, with notable wins in the European Touring Car Championship and the Australian Touring Car Championship. It also served as the basis for the Jaguar XJR-15, a limited-production supercar.

Today, the Jaguar XJS is a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its distinctive design and impressive performance. Its luxurious features and refined ride also make it a popular choice among collectors looking for a comfortable and stylish grand tourer.
