General description :
1954 XK-120. Car has undergone a nut and bolt rotisserie restoration over an 8-yr on and off period. Car was completed in fall of 2014. Car is not numbers matching and the original drivetrain whereabouts are un-known. Car does have correct xk-120 drivetrain. Engine number is W7903 - 8S. Head and block numbers do match. Engine, trans, and carbs have been thoroughly rebuilt. New wiring harness, rebuilt starter, generator. Car starts and drives well. It starts fine cold and hot. Brakes work great when cold but leave a little to be desired when they get some heat in them. We have put about 50 miles on car since the re-store working the bugs out. Panel gaps and finish are quite nice. Everything works as it should with the exception of the washer system. A few of the pics show air cleaners off. They are with the car. Unfortunately, the true mileage is un-known. I think it is showing 34,000. Tach and Speedo were missing when car was purchased. It does have the correct xk-120 gauges in it. Tach was re-stored last spring by Nisonger instruments. All gauges, lights, and indicators work. Car is finished in the correct pastel blue and blue interior as indicated by the heritage certificate. Fender mounted mirrors are not mounted but do come with the car. Car does have an original type lucas ignition coil and also some original oil gauge lines that will be included with the car as well Aftermarkets are currently installed for reliability.
