Jaguar XK120 SE 3.4 OTS matching numbers, only two owners, 1952

General description : On the 29th October 1952 this fantastic Jaguar XK 120 OTS Special Equipment was supplied by Hoffman, the New York Jaguar dealer, to a Mr May. It was found after being stored away by the family for over 25 years. Towards the end of 2008 the car arrived in the Netherlands, where it underwent a full overhaul and restoration. Taking a number of years to complete, the XK acquired its Dutch registration in 2013. Since then it has remained in the same hands. The restoration comes very well documented with a plethora of invoices showing that neither time nor money were spared in bringing this car back to top-quality condition. The fabulous bodywork is straight with the body panels fitting perfectly. The paintwork and decorative chrome work are simply sublime. This Special Equipment XK has chrome rims and even has heated seats. This XK has its original, matching numbers, engine. It has the Heritage certificate, confirming every parts number. It has been finished in black with a high-quality burgundy-red leather interior trim and matching black hood, a gorgeous combination! This is with out a shadow of a doubt, one of the most beautifully styled and sportive two-seater roadsters built in the ‘50’s! About Jaguar XK120
The Jaguar XK120 is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful sports cars of the 1940s, and indeed one of the most beautiful cars ever made. It was introduced in 1948 and remained in production until 1954.

The XK120 was powered by a 3.4-liter straight-six engine that produced up to 160 horsepower, which was a significant amount of power for a sports car of its time. It was also one of the first cars to feature disc brakes, which gave it impressive stopping power.

But it was the XK120's stunning design that truly set it apart. Its long hood, flowing lines, and sleek curves made it an instant classic, and it was favored by celebrities and racing drivers alike. The XK120 was also available as a roadster or a coupe, further adding to its appeal.

The XK120 was also a successful racing car, winning numerous races and setting several speed records. It was a favorite of racing drivers such as Stirling Moss and Juan Manuel Fangio, and helped to establish Jaguar as a major force in international motorsport.

Overall, the Jaguar XK120 was a true automotive masterpiece, combining beauty, performance, and innovation in a way that few cars have been able to match.
