Wellicht de meest bekende sportwagen wereldwijd: Mazda MX-5 (of Miata) uit de eerste generatie van bouwjaar 1991. Ondanks dat de MX-5 een groot succes was en er een grote hoeveelheid exemplaren gebouwd zijn wordt het steeds moeilijk om goede exemplaren zoals deze te vinden. De hier aangeboden Mazda verkeert in een zeer gave en originele conditie en heeft een bescheiden tellerstand van 115987 mijlen. Een absolute meerwaarde voor de echte liefhebbers zijn de originele fabrieksstickers die aanwezig zijn in de deursponningen. Niet geheel standaard maar wel op prijs gesteld zijn de fraaie BBS lichtmetalen velgen en ook de chromen rolbeugel mag gezien worden. Enkele jaren geleden werd het cabriodak vernieuwd, er werd gekozen voor een luxe stoffen exemplaar met glazen achterruit met verwarming. De MX-5 en zeker deze vroege generatie staat bekend om zijn uiterst degelijke en betrouwbare techniek, de 1.6 motor beschikt over 115 PK, ruim voldoende voor het ledige gewicht van 950 kilo. Schakelen gaat uiterst precies en met korte halen, het fijne onderstel zorgt voor een fantastisch stabiel rijgedrag. Al met al een heerlijke roadster en zeker een interessante investering!
