New to our collection! A very nice 1956 Mercedes-Benz190SL! Originally this 190SL was a Californian, USA, supplied car. At a later stage it was exported to Belgium, where in 1996 it was officially registered. Three years later it was sold to someone in the Netherlands, where, in 2002, it was thoroughly, and we mean top to toe, mechanically rebuilt. The engine, gearbox and rear axle were fully overhauled. This rebuild was undertaken to the highest exacting standards. The complete works can be traced via the invoices relating to new parts and man-hours. Only professional marque specialists worked on the car. From indicator switch to clutch set, from radiator to the braking system and from exhaust system to the complete suspension, every part is new. The interior trim has also recently been replaced, the seats have been reupholstered in new leather, the carpets and door cards are new with all interior work carried out to the same exacting high standard. The bodywork was restored at an earlier date and is still in excellent condition. The straight bodywork has correct shut-lines. The brightwork is of the same quality as the rest of the car. The complete history of this car has been extensively recorded. In the file you will even find invoices dating back the 190 SL’s youth.
