Mercedes-Benz 230SL w113 230 SL Pagode Automatic 1966

General description : We have an American supplied 1966 Mercedes-Benz W113 230SL Pagoda. This Mercedes-Benz 230SL has been fully restored. The car was also supplied from new with the same rare black paintwork it still carries. There were only a few factory supplied Pagoda’s with this particular finish. As the car has only recently been restored it is therefore in top-class condition. The paintwork has been re-sprayed to a very high level and is completely unblemished. The bodywork restoration has left us with straight, thin and correctly aligned panelwork. Of course the characteristic front windscreen notches are present and correct, which typifies the high quality approach taken to this restoration. The top-quality convertible hood is totally free of any wear and tear and is a tight fit. The interior has been decked out perfectly. All the carpets are new and have been fitted perfectly, the seats have all been reupholstered using lovely new leather. The dashboard, gear knob and transmission handle are appear in pristine order. Just sublime! This 1300 kg convertible has the benefit of a 2.3 litre straight-six engine. It has a 4-speed automatic and developes 150 PS and 196 Nm of torque. The matching numbers engine and gearbox both do an excellent and smooth job. The rest of the mechanical aspect has also had excellent care and attention. The car drives and handles delightfully. This is a very stylish Mercedes-Benz W113 230SL with a brilliant finish and fantastic colour combination. The only thing you need to do is to step in and drive away into the sunset! About Mercedes-Benz 230SL w113
The Mercedes-Benz 230SL Pagoda, designed by French automobile designer Paul Bracq, is a classic luxury sports car produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1963 to 1971.

The 230SL Pagoda was named after its distinctive hardtop, which featured a concave shape that resembled the roof of a pagoda. The car was powered by a 2.3-liter inline-six engine that produced 150 horsepower and was paired with a four-speed manual or automatic transmission.

The Pagoda was known for its advanced engineering and innovative design features, such as its sleek and aerodynamic body, independent suspension system, and advanced safety features. It was also equipped with a range of high-end features, such as power steering, air conditioning, and leather upholstery.

Paul Bracq's design for the Pagoda was highly influential and is still considered a classic example of mid-century modern design
