Mercedes-Benz L322-L328 508 D 1976

General description : Spezifischen: Der Mercedes-Benz L 508 D (O 309, L = Lastwagen, D = Diesel) angeboten von Classic Park wurde im Jahr 1976 neu geliefert zu einem italienischen Nonnenkloster und sorgte viele Jahre für einen komfortablen Transport der Schwestern. Später wurde der Bus verwendet durch die Feuerwehr von Latina in der Region Latium (Italien). Dieser Bus bietet platz an 17 Passagiere und einem Busfahrer und ist ideal für Hochzeiten und Partys.




Algemein: Seit den 20er Jahren produziert Mercedes-Benz Omnibusse, zunächst nur mit Ottomotoren, ab 1928 gab es aber auch Dieselmotoren. In dieser ersten Phase wurden die Karosserien gebaut um einen Holzrahmen, erst ab Mitte 30er Jahre kamen die Ganzstahlkarosserien im Trend.

Als nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg die Produktion nach und nach wieder zunahm, teilten die Bussen sich eine Menge Technik und Komponenten mit den LKWs des Konzerns. Die Wirtschaft verbesserte sich, die Produktion stieg sowie die Export. Daimler-Benz, wie das Konzern damals hieß, lieferte auch separate Chassis und Motoren für Karosseriebauer, die ihr eigenes Design darauf herstellten. Diese klassische Baumethode eines separaten Chassis und Karosserie war robust, führte aber auch zu schwere Fahrzeuge. In den 50er Jahren fing man an, genau wie bei der Herstellung von Personenkraftwagen, zu Experimentieren mit den selbsttragenden Karosserien, so wurde die gesamte Konstruktion leichter. Dies bedeutete aber auch, dass man kein separates Chassis mehr an externen Karosseriebauer liefern könnte. Um diesen Markt weiter zu bedienen (und der Umsatz nicht zu verlieren!) beschloss Daimler-Benz halb-selbsttragende Karosserien zu bauen so dass dennoch Chassis geliefert wurde an Dritten.

Ab 1956 bot Daimler-Benz kleinere Busse an, die basiert waren auf der Mercedes-Benz Transporter L 319. Diese komfortablen Busse gingen durch das Leben mit dem Namen O 319, O stand für Omnibus. Im Jahr 1967 wurde dem O 309 eingeführt. Mit seinem eckigen Formen eindeutig ein Kind seiner Zeit. Der Bus hatte Raum für 18 Personen. Späteren Versionen mit stärkeren Motoren und mehr Sitzplätzen folgten und Modell unterzog einige Änderungen. Die Produktion endete im Jahr 1987 wann das neue Modell R 609 eingeführt wurde.
