MG MGB 1.8 Roadster Dutch delivered car! Long term owners 1973

General description : Occasionally one glance is all you need. Just like this MG B. A quick inspection of the number plate shows us this is an original supplied 1973 Dutch MG B Roadster that belonged to a lady for no less than the last 33 years. The car was bought for her and then totally restored and in the 33 subsequent years perfectly maintained, treasured and loved. That care and attention still shines through today. The bodywork is still in very good condition. The panelwork is nice and thin, correctly aligned and the brightwork is in good shape. The same counts for the British Racing Green finish, which only shows a few very minor blemishes. The interior trim and hood were also replaced at the time. The trim sports fine black carpets and black vinyl upholstery. All in all it is in an excellent state of repair and all controls and instruments look fine and are in good working order. The black hood is neat and shuts securely. For the days you can enjoy full open-top driving a tonneau cover is provided. The MG B was renowned for its road handling in the 70’s. As far as the latter is concerned it feels as if time has stood still for this Roadster. This MG B Roadster is still is able to give great enjoyment. The light-footed road manners are all still there, the 1.8 litre engine runs smoothly and the 4-speed manual gearbox still works precisely with ease. Possibly this car’s most remarkable fact is the presence of the original British-Leyland Passport in addition to the Dutch road safety rapport (Veilg Verkeer Nederland) that has been preserved in good condition. An MG B is always a thing of pleasure especially when accompanied this kind of provenance. Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975!
