General description :
Mini's zijn leuk, dat zullen maar weinig mensen ontkennen. Het guitige karakter en de rijke historie maken het tot een iconische klassieker. Feitelijk zijn alle Mini's bijzonder maar heel soms treffen wij er één die wel echt met kop en schouders boven de rest uitsteekt, en dit is er één van! In de Gelderse stad Huissen werden door de firma Cabrioni Cabrio-Design tussen 1989 en 1995 enkele honderden auto's naar cabriolet omgebouwd waaronder naar schatting een kleine 300 Mini's. Een groot deel van deze exemplaren vonden eigenaren in landen rond de Middellandse zee en in bijzonder Monaco, slechts een beperkt deel van de productie bleef in Nederland. Van die enkelingen is dit er één en hij heeft slechts 1 eigenaar gehad die ervoor zorgde dat de auto na bijna 30 jaar nog piekfijn in orde is! Slechts 21773 kilometers werden er mee gereden en de techniek voelt dan ook als nieuw aan. De firma Cabrioni bouwde deze cabriolets naar een hoge standaard en met een keurig afwerkingsniveau. Diverse verstevigingen werden uitgevoerd om de stijfheid op pijl te houden en de constructie van het dak is keurig! Als finishing touch werd er een strakke body kit gemonteerd. De carrosserie, uitgevoerd in British Racing Green, verkeert in een gave en zeer strakke conditie met keurige chromen bumpers en grill. In het interieur trekt het chique notenhouten dashboard veel bekijks, de bekleding is simpelweg zo goed als nieuw en sporen van leeftijd zijn er niet of nauwelijks. Ook onder de motorkap waar de potente 1300 cc motor verscholen zit is de conditie museum waardig. Voor de verzamelaar of liefhebber een unieke kans die zich niet snel weer voor zal doen!
