Peugeot 403 Grande Luxe Convertible first owner car! only 2.043 made! original conditi 1959

General description : We are extremely proud to be able to present this rather unique Peugeot 403 Grand Luxe convertible. One careful Swiss lady owner from new! Other than a re-spray, it has never been restored and is immaculate. Of course, you will not find another 403 convertible with this provenance anywhere! The 403’s were immensely popular with 1.2 million sold. Only 2,043 convertibles were built between ’56 and ’60. This is not a surprise, the convertibles were twice as expensive as the 4-door 403 Berline Grand Luxe sedan. The convertible are very rare and seldom come to market. Designed and built by Pinin Farina in Turin, Italy, the French details and Italian design are in perfect harmony, providing a touch of class. The splendid bodywork has straight body panels. The re-sprayed finish has a nice shine. The undercarriage is absolutely pristine and rust free! The 403 convertible attained worldwide recognition when it was used as Peter Falk’s’ mode of transport in the detective series Columbo. In short; this is a top-quality original 403 convertible with a unique history and possibly one of the last original and un-restored 403’s around today!
