Porsche 356 356C Exceptional Condition Electric Sunroof 1964

General description : ABOUT THIS CLASSICThis Matching numbers 1964 Porsche 356 C Coupé is in stunning condition! Both technically and optically a pretty picture delivered in a very rare configuration. For example, this classic was originally delivered with an electric "Golde" sunroof, which makes the car extremely rare. The car was “body off” restored a few years ago and that shows. The revised 1582 CC four-cylinder air-cooled petrol boxer engine was fitted factory off with two double Weber 40IDF carburetors to ensure optimum power. The engine overhaul was expertly carried out by Gerard Nol, former chief mechanic of Porsche Driver Ben Pon. The car is equipped with red "Koni" shock absorbers, which allow optimal road going qualities. This Porsche 356 C Coupé is equipped with a manual 4-speed gearbox for ultimate driving pleasure! The gearbox was just overhauled again by Porsche center Heteren. The “Reutter” bodywork was completely overhauled by what we believe to be the best 356 restorer in the Netherlands, Mr. Siemerink. This is one of the last in Europe that is still allowed to work with original paint in the chemical composition of that period. The result is therefore unique. The steel chrome rims in size 5.5J x 15 complete the exterior picture with the original chrome wheel covers with the Porsche logo. The interior of this Porsche 356C is also top notch. The entire interior is very original. Both the upholstery of the seats and the inside of the doors are made of black leather. The original perforated headliner of this car offers a nice contrast with its cream color. Finally, the interior of this car is driven to perfection with an authentic “Blaupunkt” radio! All work was carried out with care and expertise and resulted in a beautiful car that is a pleasure to drive. This Porsche 356C has Dutch paperwork which makes it easy to register in any Eu country. About Porsche 356
The Porsche 356 is an iconic sports car that was produced from 1948 to 1965. It is considered to be the first production car to bear the Porsche name and is known for its unique design and exceptional performance.

The 356 was initially designed by Ferdinand Porsche in the late 1940s as a lightweight and nimble sports car that could be used for racing. The first prototypes were built using Volkswagen components, as Porsche was still closely associated with the German automaker at the time. However, the final design of the 356 was a significant departure from the VW Beetle, and featured a sleek, aerodynamic body that was both beautiful and functional.

Over the years, the 356 evolved through several iterations, each of which added new features and improved performance. The early models were powered by a 1.1-liter flat-four engine that produced around 40 horsepower, while later models featured larger engines with up to 130 horsepower.

Despite its humble beginnings, the Porsche 356 quickly became a favorite among driving enthusiasts, both on the road and the racetrack. Its combination of style, performance, and handling made it a true sports car icon, and it helped to establish Porsche as one of the world's leading automakers. Today, the 356 remains a highly sought-after collector's car, with prices that can range from tens of thousands to millions of dollars, depending on the model and condition.
