Porsche 911 / 964 911 3.6 Carrera 4 Targa matching numbers/colours, only 78.191 mls! all boo 1991

General description : Stoddard Porsche Willoughby, Ohio on The 17th April 1991, supplied this stunning Porsche 911 964 Carrera 4 Targa. This was the first 911 fitted with airbags, power steering, ABS and Tiptronic gears. More significantly, as the ‘4’ denotes, it was also the revolutionary introduction of the first 4-wheel drive 911! The combination of the 4WD and the manual gearbox is sensational! Four years ago It was exported to the Netherlands and remained in the same hands ever since. The splendid bodywork is straight with perfect fitting body panels. The paintwork and interior trim are still fresh. This 964 comes with the original car wallet, containing the service book and owner’s manual. All of the original stickers are in the correct places such as underneath the bonnet, boot lid and in the service book. It has kept the original ‘Indischrot L80K’, Indian red finish with a black leather interior trim and matching carpet set. In addition to all the usual luxury extras it also has been fitted with cruise control, electrically adjustable comfort seat on the left and coloured Porsche hub logos. Despite its relatively low-mileage of 78,191, as the various receipts show, the car has been meticulously well service and maintained. The engine has been out of its bay, the cylinder heads have been restored and where necessary mechanical adjustments where perfected. The last major service was 4,000 miles ago at 74,218. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. This 964 has, naturally, retained its matching numbers, original 3.6 engine and also has a Porsche Geburtsurkunde. In short; this is an exceptionally good manual 4WD Porsche! Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975! About Porsche 911 / 964
The Porsche 964 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 models produced between 1989 and 1994. It was the successor to the Porsche 3.2 Carrera and was designed to be a more refined and modern version of the classic Porsche 911.

One of the major changes in the 964 was the introduction of an all-wheel-drive system, called the Carrera 4. The 964 was also the first Porsche 911 to feature power steering, anti-lock brakes, and an airbag as standard equipment. In addition, the suspension was updated to provide a smoother ride and better handling.

The 964 was powered by a range of engines, including a 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-six, a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated flat-six, and a 3.6-liter turbocharged flat-six. The top-of-the-line 964 Turbo S was capable of producing 385 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest production cars of its time.

Today, the Porsche 964 is considered a classic sports car and is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. While it may not have the same level of performance as some of the newer Porsche 911 models, the 964 is still a thrilling car to drive and offers a unique driving experience that is difficult to replicate with modern cars.

As a hobbyist car, the Porsche 964 is popular among collectors and enthusiasts who enjoy working on and restoring classic cars. Its relatively simple design and mechanics make it a good choice for those who are interested in learning about automotive restoration and maintenance.

Overall, the Porsche 964 is an important part of Porsche's history and remains a beloved car among automotive enthusiasts around the world. Its unique combination of classic styling, modern features, and high performance capabilities make it a true icon of the Porsche brand.
