Extensively restored Mercedes-Benz Porsche Renntransporter for saleWhat started as a simple sketch and idea between 2 comrades has grown into a huge project and iconic classic. We proudly present one of the most special and impressive classics we have had in our collection, the Mercedes-Benz O317K Porsche Martini Renntransporter. This Renntransporter was extensively restored in the period from 2005 to 2016 and is the creation of a coachbuilder who, among other things, built trucks for the Ferrari racing team.
The previous owner of this Renntransporter is the former owner of a truck body shop and is also an avid Porsche enthusiast. It has always been his dream to combine these 2 passions and that is how the idea arose to recreate the iconic Porsche/Martini racing truck.
Extremely rare Porsche/Martini Racing Truck for saleAs far as known, there are only 2 original Porsche Renntransporters left in the world, both are owned by Porsche and will never be available for sale. The classic that we offer for sale here is a beautiful reconstruction of the original. Because they wanted to keep the truck as original as possible, it was important that only original optical parts were used. You can imagine what kind of quest it was, for example, to find an original grille or the Mercedes-Benz OM346 indoor floor motor. No wonder that the project took no less than 11 years. Every part has been thought through and no detail has been missed during the restoration.
Mercedes Benz Martini Racing Truck for saleBesides the fact that the Renntransporter looks beautiful, the quality of the construction is perhaps even more special. The restoration is of an unprecedented level. As with the original Renntransporter, double hinges are used on the tailgate, which offers space for no less than 4 Porsche 917 cars.

About Porsche Other
Porsche is a legendary brand in the automotive world, with a rich history and a reputation for excellence in design, engineering, and performance. The company was founded in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche, a pioneering automotive engineer who had previously worked for some of the leading automakers of the time, including Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union.

The early years of Porsche were focused on consulting and design work, with Ferdinand Porsche working on a wide range of projects for other automakers. However, in 1948, the company introduced its first car under its own brand name: the Porsche 356. The 356 was a sleek and sporty sports car that quickly gained a reputation for excellent performance and handling.

Over the years, Porsche continued to innovate and push the boundaries of automotive design and engineering, introducing a range of iconic models that have become some of the most sought-after sports cars in the world. These models include the Porsche 911, introduced in 1963, which has become a symbol of the Porsche brand and is widely regarded as one of the greatest sports cars ever made.

In addition to its success in the sports car market, Porsche has also been involved in motorsports for many years, with numerous victories in races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Targa Florio, and the Monte Carlo Rally. Porsche has also been involved in the development of advanced automotive technologies, including hybrid and electric powertrains.

Throughout its history, Porsche has maintained a commitment to excellence in design, engineering, and performance, and the brand remains one of the most respected and revered in the automotive world. While Porsche is now based in Germany, its roots are in Austria, where Ferdinand Porsche was born and where the company was founded. The Austrian-German heritage of Porsche is an important part of its history and legacy, and it has helped to shape the brand's identity and reputation for excellence.
