Die Photos sind Beispielphotos von einem von uns präperierten Spitfire Als British Leyland 1961 die schwächelnden Triumph-Werke übernahm, fanden Sie -unter einer Plane versteckt- den bereits 1957 konzipierten „Bomb“. Ein Entwurf von Michelotti, der umgehend unter der Regie von British Leyland gebaut wurde und als Spitfire 1962 auf der Londoner Motorshow erstmalig dem interessierten Publikum vorgestellt wurde. Bereits 1964 kam der leicht modifizierte, aber formschönste MK2 auf den Markt. Es handelt sich um eins der entzückendsten, formschönsten kleinen Cabriolets, die je das „Licht der Welt“ erblickten. Dieser Herzensbrecher –mit seinen 735kg Gesamtgewicht- ist äußerst wendig und durchaus sportlich unterwegs.
