Unique Volkswagen Beetle with split rear window. This type 1 was in production until 1953. This rare example was built in 1951 and is in exceptionally good condition. It has spent most of its life in Sweden. The numerous accessories do make this a truly unique car. It has a front fog light, the original Blaupunkt radio, a folding roof, timepiece, door mirrors, armrest, fuel meter, ashtray and the semaphore indicators. A few years ago the car benefitted from a full restoration and technical revision. The upholstery and trim are all in prime condition. The bodywork is sound with tight fitting panelwork and lovely paintwork. The chassis is of course totally rust free. There is a complete documented history of the restoration and ownership, including extensive photographic records, many invoices and correspondence throughout the years. It is no surprise that this car has won a number of prizes at events and club meetings. This is a rare split rear window Beetle in pristine condition.
