General description :
Een opvallende klassieker en een prachtig stukje Nederlandse automobielgeschiedenis! Een van de bekendere modellen van DAF zal toch zeker het 66 model zijn geweest geproduceerd in het Limburgse Born waar momenteel nieuwerwetse Mini's van de band rollen. Toen het merk DAF midden jaren zeventig door Volvo werd overgenomen besloot volgde al gauw het besluit de productie van de 66 door te zetten in iets verbeterde versie en met Volvo badges. Het hier aangeboden exemplaar betreft een zogenaamde GL met de sterkere 1300 cc motor en iets complete uitrusting. De transmissie bleef als vertrouwd de Variomatic wat tevens een 'Neerlandse' uitvinding is en in de commercials destijds het 'pienter pookje' werd genoemd. Het hier aangeboden exemplaar komt uit de latere serie en werd halverwege 1980 voor het eerst geregistreerd. In recenter verleden werd de sedan carrosserie door een in Volvo gespecialiseerde garage aangepast tot cabriolet, een zeer goed en professioneel uitgevoerde ingreep! Ook de carrosserie werd herspoten in keurige blauwe metallic lak. Het ingetogen interieur bleef in originele staat behouden. Technisch een zeer fijne auto en daarmee ook prettig rijdend! Er is een fotoverslag van de ombouw, uitgevoerd met originele DAF delen. Origineel maar 37179 km gereden. Prijswijzigingen, druk- en zetfouten voorbehouden.
