Description : Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to offer this painstakingly restored 1958 Volvo PV444 for sale. During the 26 years that its previous owner had it, it underwent a lengthy restoration, culminating in its reappearance in the market in 2012 after it was completed. It still shows some of its original glory, having been kept in climate-controlled storage. The white paint looks good from whatever angle you choose to view it from. The blue-gray carpet provides a nice contrast to the white paint, and the white-with-blue trim seats tie the interior together nicely. This car comes with a substantial amount of documentation, including an envelope full of receipts and timecards from the restoration. Its previous owner spent over $84K in having the restoration completed, and it was done so well that it still looks very fresh. The PV444 was a highly successful rally car; the kind of ride that you could race on the weekend and drive to work during the week. This PV444 comes with the B16B engine, with its twin SU HS4 carburetors. Backing the B16B is a smooth-shifting 3-speed manual transmission. The PV444 was known for excellent fuel economy, delivering almost 25 MPG during a time when most American cars were still getting by with 12 MPG. Additional features and options on this wonderful PV444 for sale are Radial Tires and Vinyl Interior.
