Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300S Stunning condition 1973

Allgemeine Beschreibung : Do you believe that the age of the small, rear-wheel-drive, Italian sports cars will ever return? This lovely square Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300S (Tipo: 115.09) hit the Italian roads in Bologne on the 11th April 1973. The car was exported to Austria in 2014, since when we have brought the car to us in the Netherlands. The 1.3 litre 4-cylinder engine with twin overhead cams and twin Dellorto’s delivers 89Hp at 6,000 revs. The engine is coupled to a smooth operating 5-speed manual gearbox. The car’s low 1000kg weight is responsible for its very sporty performance. This Alfa Giulia 1300S is in a brilliant original condition. Because of the low 41,676 km on the clock, it has avoided the need for full restoration. The car is naturally completely rust-free. Inspecting underneath the car originality shines through as it was not retrospectively covered up with a thick layer of tectyl coating. The bodywork is just as good. The panelwork is nice and thin and correctly aligned. For cosmetic reasons the grey paintwork has been reapplied to a high standard and with good effect. The interior trim is exceptionally fine. The headlining is original, the seat upholstery has expertly been replaced with authentic fabrics and colours and the carpets are new as well. We rarely see such precise workmanship, it has the appearance of a factory fresh interior trim. All switches and instruments look great and are in good working order. The Giulia’s mechanics have been properly maintained over the years. The care and attention shows itself to good effect when driving the Alfa. The engine performs as it should and has pleasant roadholding. Reviewing the documentation we should not be surprised about this, as we came across invoices relating to the fact that this Alfa Romeo’s complete suspension and tyres were replaced in 2015. The documentation also includes a TUV report, the original Italian car papers, the original owner’s manual as well as papers relating to its time in Austria. In short one very cute 1973 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300S in excellent shape and great history. Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975!

Jedoch vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, Alfa Romeo ist am besten durch seine klassische Grand-Prix-Autos erinnert;
