Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1935 Derby Bentley 3 1/2 litre 3 position drop head by Roger Fry
Chassis Number: B105CW
Registration number: TBA

Originally a Paris works demonstrator, it was made and sold in 1935 with a sedan body.
B105CW stayed that way until 1991 when its owner, Commander E.E. Cecil, commissioned a ground up restoration and a new body build by Western Australia's, noted coachbuilder Roger Fry.  When completed the car was as new post restoration.
As part of the process the chassis and all components were shot blasted, primed and finished in gloss black enamel. All components have been carefully inspected and, where necessary, replaced and rebuilt with new parts. Additionally, the engine was re-bored and fitted with new pistons. A new cylinder head was supplied by Fiennes Engineering of Oxfordshire, England and the exhaust system was also replaced with a new stainless steel item.
The coachwork was carried out in the period correct manner using a wooden frame braced with steel gussets and wrapped in 16 gauge hand wheeled aluminium sheeting. All of this was finished off with the stunning red and black acrylic paint, that still shines light new to this day.  The proportions of the car are just right taking cues from Thrupp & Mabely & also Vanden Plas iin its execution.
The interior is trimmed in black connolly hide with red piping and carpet, and the dashboard and door cappings are black walnut with high gloss finish. All topped off with new glass and chrome work throughout.
Since the rebuild in 1991 this Derby has been on numerous BDC rallies and won many concours events.
It has also been approved and received a FIVA passport allowing the car into some of the worlds most prestigious events.
The car has been serviced and maintained to an extremely high standard, recently having the addition of an overdrive, which helps on those long motorway cruises.
