The subject of a fastidious nut & bolt restoration by famed restorers Wildae Engineering of Braunton North Devon at the request of an expat Millionaire living in Texas who went about the project with a "money No object" & "Open Cheque Book" attitude.
The first owner was the Honorable Lady Baillie of Chesterfield in October of 1950 who in turn four years later passed it on to the Earl of Gosford in Chester.
This car comes to us with a massive set of restoration photographs & an equally massive set of bills attesting to the care lavished upon it. Over £150,000 of invoices come with the car which was completed in time to win fist in class at the RREC national rally in 2005. Since then the car has been very sparingly used & kept in tip top condition in a heated garage.
This Bentley Mark VI is finished in Midnight Blue over Metallic Silver with the paint being done to an exceptional standard & being very traditional in appearance. Air conditioning has also been installed in the car making for pleasant summer motoring. On the road the car looks drives & feels as if it is brand new & just leaving the factory gates at Crewe for the first time.
The interior is trimmed in cream Connolly hides throughout with matching beige carpets edge bound in leather. All interior woodowrk has been removed, re-veneered & re-installed in mirror polished perfect condition. Likewise all brightwork has been re-chromed & new headlining installed. There is also a factory fitted sunroof in situ.
It is always a pleasure to handle a car such as this which is in simply faultless condition. We stongly encourage interested parties to read in detail the Wildae Invoices which give a clear insight to the massive work & incredible detail that went into making this car what it is today.
