Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1964 Bentley S3 Continental Chinese Eye Convertible.

Chassis number: BC-64-XC

Automotive Perfection: Simply put this car is in as new condition having had the most fastidious of restorations carried out by worldwide restoration experts RR&B Garages of Bromsgrove. A massive photographic history of the restoration comes with the car detailing the extraordinary lengths gone to, to put this car in the condition we find it in today. The whole ensemble is a testament to the restoration skills & expertese of RR&B garages & is a wonderful advertisement for their services.

Prior to the current Swiss owner restoring the car, it had amazingly been the property of the previous owner for 50 years having purchased it on the 6th of February 1964 & kept it until 2014. An assortment of bills dating back over they years of his tenure come with the car.

This Bentley S3 Continental DHC has been shown at numerous events & has garnered more then its fair share of awards. Rarely do we get a car in that is faultless, but this is one of those seldom found examples.

The car is finished in sage green with a dark green double duck roof; colours that suit it admirably. To the interior is original leather in dark green that is in fine order having been re-dyed to keep its colour. A green leather hood bag affixes over the hood with snap on studs. The woodwork is immaculately polished highly figured Walnut. The electric windows glide up & down swiftly at the touch of a button as does the power operated hood mechanism.

The current swiss owner, a fastidious man with a small collection of top-class Bentleys approached the restoration with an open cheque book mentality simply wanting the very best restoration that money could buy. Upon completion he used the car sparingly showing an incremental mileage from the last 4 Ministry Of Transport certificates of just 1002 miles, Feb 2013 being 28202 miles & 2016 reading 29204 miles.

One really has to drive this car to appreciate how good it is. The suspension is soft & supple, the engine powerful & quiet, wafting one down the road in imperious unruffled silence. The gear changes are imperceptible unless pushed hard at which point the automatic gear box readily kicks down a gear. The doors have perfect shuts & the car as a whole having a tight draft free interior environment. This is a car suited to those for whom nothing less then the best will do. We hesitate to use the expression 'The Best in the World", so probably better if you come to see the car & make that Judgement yourself. It is in our showroom & ready for immediate viewing.
