Allgemeine Beschreibung :
For sale in our Houston showroom is this gorgeous 1984 Buick Grand National. Built as the evolution of the Regal T-type, and unique in its signature black paint, the Grand National has developed a strong cult following. The Grand National was a different beast indeed, with a sinister, blacked-out “Darth Vader” visage. The $1,282 package bumped the Regal T-Type’s sticker price up to $13,400, and included suspension modifications, a different rear axle ratio, and overdrive. By now, the T-Type and Grand National turbo V-6 was putting out 200 hp. With 200 horsepower in 1984, the GN was no slouch. The secret was under the “power bulge hood", where a 3.1L V6 with a fairly large turbo could be found lurking. Couple this with a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and 3.42 rear axle ratio, and Buick had a recipe for success. This example has 80,458 original miles, but you'll be hard-pressed to notice. The interior looks as if it was just delivered from the dealer. A fresh coat of the signature black paint was laid on thick, and looks deep enough to go swimming in. The aftermarket radio will with Bluetooth connectivity provides both hands-free phone operation, as well as additional "modern device" connectivity. Turn the key and this baby sings right to life. Mash the gas and watch the boost gauge climb as fast as the speedo needle goes up. One ride and you’ll understand how these cars are held in such high regard. Relatively low mileage examples are becoming less and less common, especially those with an untouched engine bay. Options on this ‘84 Buick Grand National include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM/CD Player with Bluetooth, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Seats with lumbar support, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Posi-Trac differential, Seat Belts, Cloth+Leather Interior, and Rally Wheels with Radial Tires.
