Cadillac’s car design in the 1950’s is considered by most enthusiasts to be the pinnacle of the marque. The 1959 Cadillac Series 62 may just be the peak of its design excellence with its 42-inch tail fins and luxurious interior. Powered by a 390-cubic inch V8 engine producing 325hp and 430 ft-lbs of torque, this engine package had the grunt to push this heavy Caddy smoothly down the road. Standard equipment included a heater, fog lamps, air-assisted suspension, a radio with a rear speaker, power windows, a six-way power front seat, power door locks and whitewall tires. Today, all '59 Cadillacs are considered emblems of their era, with styling and luxury that will never be replicated.
