Chevrolet Camaro LS1 5.7L V8 1971

Allgemeine Beschreibung : Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this "race me red" 1971 Chevrolet Camaro restomod. If you're looking for a daily driver-capable "Split Bumper", this is the one to snag before you miss out. Finished in the classic twin-stripe paint scheme, with white SS-style stripes over the bright red paint on the rest of the body, this car gets lots of attention on the road. Speaking of on the road, you'll want to be in this car any time you have an opportunity to drive somewhere. Powered by a modern 5.7L fuel-injected V8 LS1 engine that's backed by a 5-speed manual Tremec T5 transmission and PosiTrac GM 10-bolt rear, this car is ready to go anywhere, anytime. The powder-coated block looks great in the engine bay, and the contrasting black and red color scheme is consistent throughout the car. From the engine bay to the passenger compartment, black and red abound, and are tastefully executed. According to its owner, the car has been dyno-tested and puts out 325HP at the rear wheels. There is a new stainless-steel fuel tank, with a new high-volume in-tank electric fuel pump, so you know you'll have reliable (and rust-free) fuel delivery to the injectors. The custom high-flow dual exhaust has a cross-pipe and provides for a quiet drive under normal throttle positions, but really sounds nasty when you get into the loud pedal. Somewhat "sleeper-ish" (if you can overlook the bright red body, of course), so it's not going to get your neighbors up when you leave early; yet, when you get the itch to get it on, you will definitely not go unnoticed. Also contributing to the daily-driver intent of this build is a massive aluminum radiator, equipped with a thermostatically controlled Derale high-flow dual fan and shroud kit, so this car runs cool even when you're stuck in Houston rush hour traffic with the A/C going full blast in the summer. When you decide it's time to go do some corner-carving, you'll be ready for all comers. Detroit Speed tubular A-arms up front are equipped with all new bushings and are supported by coil-over shocks. A 2-inch drop spindle, dropped tie rods (no bump steer), and a Detroit Speed power rack and pinion steering system with a Flaming River steering column contribute to precise handling. The rear suspension is also Detroit Speed, with a 3-inch drop leaf spring kit and polyurethane bushings. Baer Racing supplied the brakes at all 4 corners: Baer's Track 4 complete system up front, and SS4 brakes (with parking brake) are out back. The multi-piston calipers snag slotted/drilled rotors, providing for fade-free stops time and again. The brakes are further supported by a new power brake vacuum canister, and the Baer "Red" master cylinder also has an adjustable front/rear brake bias proportioning valve installed, allowing the driver to custom tune their preferred brake force bias. Inside, you'll discover that the it's sporting a modern take on the original interior, along with some "hidden enhancements". For starters, the stuff you can't see: Dynamat products were used to provide sound deadening throughout. The interior was gutted, and Dynaliner was been installed on all interior surfaces including the roof; and Dynapad on all floor surfaces before the new carpet, new headliner, and all new trim and seating were reinstalled. The door panels were removed, and new window regulators and gears were installed before the new black/red door panels were installed. The seats are TMI, and are done in alternating Alcantara and synthetic leather, so they both look good in their black/red motif, and they provide excellent grip during high-speed cornering. The instrument panel sticks with the black/red theme, and sports all new Speedhut gauges, with the speedometer providing GPS speed monitoring, so you'll not have to worry about any gear ratio changes affecting whether you have accurate speedometer readings or not. On the road, the interior is quiet, and the Vintage Air A/C keeps things cool. A new Rockford/Fosgate head unit provides the tunes that are powered by your Apple CarPlay or Android Auto from your mobile device, whether you connect via Bluetooth or aux cable. The system has 6 Rockford/Fosgate speakers, and it sounds awesome when you have it cranked up - and the Dynamat sound deadener products work to help you hear your tunes clearly. So, what are you waiting for? If you're a fan of the Gen2 "Split Bumper" Camaros, this one is ready to rock your world - don't wait too long, or someone will beat you to it!
