Chevrolet's 3rd Generation Camaros arrived in 1982, and in just three short years, the IROC-Z arrived. The IROC-Z, which was named after the International Race of Champions, became a top seller and was GM's go-to for fighting the Mustang GT. Customers who opted for this package got a lot of performance upgrades including advanced suspension, Delco-Bilstein valved shocks, special decal package, lower ride heights and larger sway bars. This IROC-Z is a solid example, with the original red paint still going strong & looks good on the sleek body. Powering this classic is the 305 CID Tuned Port Injection V8 that it was born with, along with its 4-speed automatic transmission. The mileage on the odometer is in alignment with its clean Carfax, so one can tell that this car has been used sparingly over the years. The suspension, however, has been upgraded with BMR springs, BMR tubular front lower control arms, and Gas-charged shocks. Inside, the black synthetic leather seats, door panels, dash, and carpet remain in very good condition. The car sits on its original IROC-Z aluminum wheels, which are wrapped in BF Goodrich radial tires.
