Allgemeine Beschreibung : ABOUT THIS CLASSICTop condition 1965 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Coupe V8. The first thing I realised when I drove this serious American muscle was the solid way the car handles. The C2 Corvette is historically not known for its great road going qualities but more for its aggressive nature. But it looks like the former Dutch owner (owned the car over 27 years) was able to bring balance to the performance and handling. This 65 “vette” was body off restored many years ago in Holland and certainly used, but also extremely well maintained. The overall technical condition is without question. This 2door sport coupe never slept a night outdoors and that shows. Some more to the point info: The 5.3 V8 engine was fitted with Edelbrock intakes, EB carburettor systems and EB air filter. This in combination with the twin bank side pipe exhaust system gives the car that raw power that the V8 enthusiast is looking for. This engine is clearly loved. It runs strong, smooth and is dry as a bone. The automatic gearbox was revised a few years ago and shifts without hesitation. The side pipes bring forth that great V8 Sound. The undercarriage is absolutely rust free and the koni shocks make sure the car handles perfect. The hydraulic power brake systems have the right stopping power. The fiberglass body is straight as an arrow and has good paint. All exterior trim including the side pipe heath shields are in very good condition. The beautiful “3 wing “knock off wheels are wrapped in cooper lifeliner rubber. The original burgundy leather interior looks great. All switches and instruments in the console and dashboard work perfect. Also, the iconic air powered folding lights work well. Since this car has some significant value, it was fitted with a Lo Jack tracking system and power switch. In short: A very healthy, good looking and powerful Corvette.
