It's time for one of those terrific hot rod builds where someone has really paid attention to the details. So this all steel 1931 Ford Roadster Pickup is where vintage style and cool coordination meet V8 power and four-wheel disc brakes to create one cool custom machine.
When people say "WOW" at a hot rod, it's usually because someone has sweated the details... and you're going to get plenty of wows with this one. It all starts with color coordination. The deep metallic blue knows how to really catch the sunshine. Not only is the smooth steel body painted this color, but also so is the chassis to give this a very sleek look. And like any good custom street machine, there's plenty of pinstriping. The red has an artful design on the front, and then it flows to a full custom stripe package that highlights the classic Ford lines around the cab. There's also more red in the slats of the metal hood and on the tailgate. This all coordinates nicely with the red wheels, and yes, those have a pinstripe in blue to match the body color. And this hot rod rides on iconic whitewall tires. These coordinate with everything from the engine side louvers to the white toneau cover over the truck bed. There's even a removable white roof! You can now really see what we mean when we call this a totally coordinated package.
And because a roadster is meant to be open to the world, the interior also harmonizes with the exterior. There are even nice creature comforts like an armrest center console and a cup holder. The exterior blue returns on the console, dash, and classic-style steering wheel. We know you love more of the custom red pinstriping on all of this. But more than just the colors, this interior gets your heart pumping because you can tell it's a performance machine. That's why you have features like the Lokar shifter and the AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultra-Light gauge package.
Under the hood is tidy setup and more cool color coordination with the air topper in blue and the Chevy valve covers accented with red pinstriping. Plus, the white firewall ties back into the exterior paint package, so you know you'll love leaving the hood up at car shows. But more than just look good, this one was built to run. You have a 305 cubic-inch V8 that's been enhanced with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer intake. Plus, this motor has the right supporting components like an electronic ignition and an aluminum radiator. You're going to love the rumble this one makes out of the glasspack-style dual exhaust. But don't just listen to it; follow its path in the undercarriage photos. There you'll see more great blue and red coordination. Plus, you're also going to spot some nice upgrades like the four-link rear suspension, Ford 9-inch rear, and polished hairpin drop-axle front end.
