Triumph TR4 1965

Allgemeine Beschreibung : We recently purchased this 1965 TR4. Some of the unique things of the car is it was a California delivery & while the heritage certificate calls it a 1964, you can see in the photos next to the VIN plate a green tag screwed on that says Triumph, STC-65. This was a requirement in California for a car that was a 1964 but sold & titled as a 1965. The STC stood for Sold To Customer. Once leaving California, the car resided in North Carolina, adult owned & kept inside. The car has virtually no evidence of rust or damage from an accident. What really excited me about this car were the following: 1. A true numbers matching engine 2. A factory surrey top car with both hard & soft centers 3. A factory overdrive car 4. A 50,000 actual mile car The car had great bones & a great motor, but many of its interior components were certainly tired, & there was miscellaneous things that needed cleaning up, repairing or adjusting. We have removed all of the squeaks & rattles, replaced massive amounts of parts & turned this into an exceptionally nice driving car. While the value of this car in my mind is previous items 1-4, I feel as I own an identical car that I knew the right things to turn it into a fabulous driver & a well sorted car. Below are the items that we have done. I have spent an exorbinent amount of time & a substantial amount of money performing the following improvements/upgrades. I broke the restoration down into three categories: mechanical, cosmetic, & improvements: Mechanical: Remove transmission, drain fluid, installed new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bushing, & new fork pin.
