 This stunning and rare Bentley Continental is one of only 60 produced, offered for sale in Vermillion red with Magnolia Connolly leather to the interior and best described by the owners personal history from his long term ownership:
I purchased my 1960 S.2 Bentley Continental Park Ward drophead coupe, rhd back in the late 1970’s from a rabbit farmer in Suffolk, England. I had this motor car serviced in London by Peter Fischer Classic Automobiles and his mechanics at English Automotive.
This Park Ward classic was originally finished in Old English White with a blue-grey hyde interior. At the time, I reached out to Osmond Rivers who was the then retired Chief designer for Hooper & Company and mentioned my motor car and that I wanted to change the colour scheme to a sportier look. As Hooper's chief-designer Osmond Rivers after the end of World War II had developed a styling which met with instant acclaim (later he become elevated to the post of a director of Hooper & Co. (Coachbuilders) Ltd). – Rivers had christened his design "New Look". Hooper’s traditional Empress Coachwork was created by Osmond Rivers
We corresponded for a few weeks after which he made the suggestion of painting the car in Vermillion Red with a light interior, perhaps Magnolia or light beige. He said that he always wanted to design a Bentley Continental drophead coupe and in RED! He requested that I might send him photos of the car after the restoration work was done. I shipped the car to the States and a few years later I decided to take Mr. Rivers suggestions of the colour scheme – and thus had the car stripped, all the body work done and repainted in Rolls Royce’s colours Vermillion Red with a magnolia interior. Unfortunately, Mr. Rivers passed away in 1982 so never got to see the results of his recommendations.
 The body and mechanical restoration work was carried out by Elite Rolls Royce in Chicago, Illinois under the supervision of a talented Scotsman who had worked on Rolls Royce and Bentley for over 30 years and the interior was done by expert upholsterers Beil Auto Upholstery. 
T he car was taken on several road trips in the USA and performed as a Bentley should. It has always been maintained by for nearly 40 years! 
This Continental currently resides in Chicago.

Bentley lämnade bolaget när hans kontrakt löpte ut 1935 vederbörligen gå Lagonda. Detta var i början av som i slutändan låta Bentley bilar blir bara badge-engineered Rolls-Royce.
