This 1957 Ford Thunderbird is a restored coupe that has a wonderful two-tone presentation throughout. One of the world's most beloved cars, there's just no way to make a '57 Thunderbird look bad. But when you get it right, they can be downright amazing. The professional repaint of the factory-correct Starmist Blue looks stunning. The story we were told on this car is that it was professionally restored about three years ago. So the body has a crisp look, and the blue paint has the brightness of a sunny day sky. You even have the iconic porthole hardtop and whitewall tires to look like your white clouds. Plus, we all know the brightwork really helps make this an icon, and so the big chrome bumpers have a mirror-like shine. And this has all the details you love, like the fender skirts, a bright mesh grille, a hint of sporty hood scoop, real wire wheels, and the exhaust coming through an artful opening in the rear bumper.
Since this looks so good with the white hardtop in place, you'll be happy to see a clean white interior, too. There's even nice blue on the steering wheel, door panels, and dash to give this a well-coordinated look inside and out. This has a sporty look with the machine-turned panel on the dash and a full gauge package, including tach. Plus, this really embodies the luxury cruiser image of a T-bird. The larger "Thunderbird Special" 312 cubic-inch V8 was a nice option in '57. Not only is this a true D-code car, but also the restorer was said to have called this the original motor and transmission. Ford red paint on the block, Thunderbird valve covers, and lots of correct components looks great in a very authentically presented engine bay. The polished air cleaner allows air through the hood scoop feeding the Holley for barrel carburetor. All of this should tell you that you're looking at a Thunderbird that's not just meant for Sunday car shows, but also it's ideal for Sunday drives, too.
