Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this 1932 MG F type Magna Salonette For Sale.A rare survivor of the few hundred built. This car is absolutely jewel like in its appearance & condition. It has undergone a massive restoration to bring it to its current condition. This car being a 1932 model benefits from having the more powerful version of the six cylinder engine that was fitted to these. With an undeniably smooth engine that has plenty of torque throughout the rev range and a gearbox that provides near perfect ratios. the combination affords the right formula for pleasurable driving.
Despite its diminutive size it is a full four seater. albeit for smaller passengers.
The distinctive glass sliding roof. often likened to 'a church window' provides good ventilation and some relief for claustrophobics! The bucket seats are described in period brochures as 'close coupled' but as you would expect along with the rear seat and trim panels are upholstered in quality green leather.
Accommodation for passenger luggage is somewhat restricted with the boot area totally swallowed up with the fuel tank. The hinged boot flap has have built in stays however that affix to the lower trim rail in order to turn the flap into a horizontal luggage platform.
The rear seat when traveling two up is of course an excellent luggage storage area. The car is in close to concours condition finished in a fetching colour scheme of white over a vivid green with the paintwork being superb.
The rebuilt engine is well detailed & ready to be shown. The interior has been totally re-upholstered & is in lovely order. The car starts readily & makes all the right noises. The bonnet is improbably long for the size of the car making for a lovely view from the drivers seat.
