Triumph TR3 A Very well maintained, lovely drivers condition 1959

Allmän beskrivning : We have a very fine 1959 Triumph Tr3a. This car arrived in Holland in 1992 and since 2000 has been owned by one and the same person. The car has already been restored and is in wonderful shape. The TR3a was a further TR3 development. It got a larger grill, external door handles, a lockable boot and as a first, a toolkit was included. The bodywork looks great. The well-aligned panelwork is nice and thin. The bright work is complete and in a good state. The car sports the always popular chrome wire wheels as well as two pair of good quality Michelin’s as a sign typifying the good care taken of the car. Both the hood and door are in very good condition with an all-over close fit. Out and about for a few days is no problem with the luggage rack. The good quality paintwork only has a few blemishes. The interior trim has been replaced and has been reupholstered in black leather with black carpets. The leather is in good condition and the carpets fit nicely. The dashboard is also in fine condition, with all instruments working as they should. The TR3 was renowned in its day for its good road handling. From the start the TR3 was fitted with disc brakes, giving the car a big edge over its competition. The latter was one of the reasons TR3 the Triumph TR3 was used then and even now in rallies and classic racing events. The engine in this TR3 develops 100Ps which in combination with a weight of just 950 Kg guarantees a sparkling drive. All that power is delivered through a manual 4-speed gearbox. Both engine and transmission work well. The engine is eager and enjoys climbing up the revs. The transmission action is precise. The good condition of the suspension and brakes contribute to the car’s good handling. After experiencing just a few miles in the TR3 you will readily come to appreciate why this car is still such a popular choice. This car offers the driver a fine combination of sportiness and comfort, making it a joy to tour the countryside.
