Aston Martin DB Mk III 2/4 MK2 fixed head coupé by Tickford only 34 made! fully restored 1957

General description : A very special Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk2 Tickford Coupé. When new, the first owner drove this rare example away in London England on the 17th April 1957. This owner was also one of the very early Aston Martin Owners Club members. The Mk2, introduced in October 1955, superseded the DB2/4. It differed from its predecessor by the curved front windscreen, bonnet air inlet, side ventilation grills and redesigned rear arches. The engine capacity increased to 2922cc delivering more power. Of the 199 Mk2’s produced only 34 had the special Tickford Coupé bodywork, also known as a ‘Notchback’ Coupé. This Tickford Coupé has recently been fully, Bare-Metal’ restored as well as mechanically completely overhauled. This professional restoration took place in England and comes well documented with photos and invoices. During the restoration the DB2/4 was fitted with a Kenlowe fan and a 1-2-3-ignition set. The bodywork is as good as new with its superb, straight and perfectly aligned body panels. The detailing is also perfect. The underbody is as good new and flawless. It has the original Two-Tone ‘Dark Grey’ finish with a ‘Moonbeam Grey’ roof and red leather interior trim. This really is a true Gentleman’s Coupé; unique and rarely available!
