2000 Bentley Continental R Mulliner (LHD)

The names H J Mulliner and Bentley go hand in hand and have a relationship spanning over 75 years. The Bentley Continental R Mulliner is the modern day version of a gentleman’s express carrying the iconic name. Acknowledged to have saved Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and formed the groundwork which led to the buyout and parting of the Rolls-Royce and Bentley brands in 1998, Bentley was once again capable of standing alone as a marque.

The hand crafted 6,750cc turbo charged engine gave 420bhp and a staggering 650 lbs/ft of torque enabling such 0-60mph times of 5.6 seconds and a top speed of over 170 mph, all whilst luxuriously seating 4 adults.

The upgraded suspension, performance brakes and 18 inch 5-spoke alloy wheels enhance the overall performance and enjoyment of the car, whilst the wide bodied wheel arches make it striking and extremely recognisable on the road, visually this car does not disappoint.

About Bentley
Before becoming a mere subsidiary to Rolls-Royce, Bentley was an independent Automaker famous for the "fastest lorries in the world" e.i Bentley 4½ Litre.

Good ol' Bentley boys (A group of wealthy British motorists, mainly Woolf Barnato, Sir Henry "Tim" Birkin, steeplechaser George Duller, aviator Glen Kidston, S.C.H. "Sammy" Davis, and Dr Dudley Benjafield ) -in their trusty Bentley cars- took four consecutive victories at 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930

In 1931 Bentley was taken over British Central Equitable Trust that later proved to be a front for Rolls-Royce Limited. Unhappy with his role at Rolls-Royce, W.O. Bentley left the company when his contract expired in 1935 duly joining Lagonda. This was beginning of which ultimately led Bentley cars to become more or less badge-engineered Rolls-Royce.
