Chevrolet Apache 1951

General description : See this 1951 Chevrolet 5 Window Pick Up on display in our Dallas, Texas showroom. For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is this unbelievable 1951 Chevy 5 window hot rod. Show ready, this truck will turn heads everywhere it goes. The Indigo Metallic blue paint has a deeper finish than the ocean. Coupled with the low stance provided by the four wheel air ride suspension, and the 18” front and 20” rear Coy wheels, this truck has a real serious presence on the street. The gas filler cap has been hidden under a power trap door in the custom wood bed, and the turn signals integrated into the bumper. Motivating this serious street rod is a 5.3L Vortec fuel injected motor with aluminum heads and radiator and a custom exhaust, mated 4L65E automatic over-drive transmission, and sending power out back to 12 bolt rear end through 3.73 gears. To bring everything back down to a halt, this truck also features 4 wheel drilled and slotted brake rotors. To keep you steady through the corners, the independent front suspension from a Mustang II was added as well. The great features don’t stop with the outside either. The interior features custom saddle power bucket seats and console, vintage air AC/Heat/Defrost, Billet Specialties steering wheel, Flaming Rivers tilt column, Dakota digital dash, AutoSound AM/FM/Cassette, one piece windshield, and power windows. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
