Chevrolet C10 Supercharged 502 V8 1965

General description : Now for Sale in our Dallas Showroom is one RAD 1965 Chevrolet C10 Pro Street Truck. This Truck has received a full frame off restoration, going from the ground up, going from your normal farm truck to a complete show truck. They started the restoration with a full sand blasting of the frame, the primered and shot black Imron. The truck has been lowered 6 inches from stock, and has a great stance! The frame was narrowed and fitted with a Ford 9 inch with 4.11 Detroit locker gears, equipped with strong 31 spline axles and disc brakes. coilover suspension was added all around to control the ride. The firewall was modified to accommodate the huge 502 Cubic Inch Big Block Chevy V8 Gen V Crate Motor. The 502 has been topped with a BDS 6-71 Supercharger with a pair of blueprinted 750 Holley Carbs., a BG 400 Fuel Pump and filter keeps the right amount flowing to the motor. A custom gas tank was fitted below the bed to accommodate the custom truck. The Transmission is a Turbo 400 with reserve shift pattern. The motor was built by Don Crippen and Dowker Racing Engines out of Charlotte Michigan. They disassmebled the crate motor, balanced it, installed high volume oil pump, screw in studs, Isky solid lifter cam, windage tray, Dart II Aluminum Heads, Harlem Sharp roller rockers, and stud girdle. Solid motor mounts were built as well. 3 inch stainless exhaust with Edelbrock RPM mufflers. Lyon Industries & Design out of Brighton Michigan did the body work and paint. they modified the firewall, shaved the door handles, installed remote door poppers, power windows, bucket seats, and custom console. It was painted PPG Radisons Purple with red pearl. The power seats were donated from a 1993 Cadillac STS, and were covered in white leather, along with the door panels. the headliner is covered in cloth. The gauges are autometer, and have been molded into the dash. Vintage AC and heat were installed, as well as custom graphics on the outside, the blue accents lightning against the purple paint! An Oak wood bed was installed, which has been wet-sanded and cleared. This is one custom truck almost too much to mention. it is genuinely street worth and is fast, would be great for cruising to the drag strip and back. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
