Chevrolet Corvette L82 350 CID V8 TH 350 3-Speed Automatic $25,995 1976

General description : For sale in our Dallas showroom is a 1976 Chevrolet Corvette. Yes, I promise you that this is a ’76 Corvette, and it is an L-82 on top of that. For 1976, the L-82 RPO brought the higher compression 350 CID to the Corvette, and a 30hp bump to 210 horsepower. But enough of things everyone knows about Corvettes, let’s get to this Corvette, known as the Eldorette. The Corvette has been a go-to vehicle for automotive artistic expression for years, being the starting point for movie cars and private creations alike. This one of a kind Corvette now has a completely hand laid fiberglass body that combines great styling cues like creased fenders of Cadillac’s, and the sleek silhouette of a C3 Corvette. Lots of pieces from different vehicles were hand chosen to get the exact look the builder desired. The headlights are from a 78 Oldsmobile Cutlass while the taillights are 1970’s Chevette. Oddly enough, some Ford parts made an appearance on the rear end with a Granada bumper and a 90’s Ford Probe spoiler, and a Ford paint color was even used in the form of Firestorm Red from a 2003 Mustang. On the front and rear of the car are lighted Cadillac wreaths from a 69 Cadillac. The roof of the car brings us extensive custom work as well. Starting with a 1978 Eldorado, the top was chopped 4 inches in the rear, and T-Tops were added to keep the Corvette vibe alive and well. When designing a vehicle such as this, there is only once choice for the interior: crushed velour in red to match the paint. This soft and luxurious material covers most of the interior including the seats, dashboard, and center console. If you are looking for a great driving C3 Corvette that will set you apart from the crowd, this is it. With just over 60,000 original miles, this car has a long life of turning heads and comfortable cruising left in it. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
