Chevrolet El Camino 305 CID V8 1976

General description : Now available at our Dallas-Showroom, Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this very patriotic 1976 Chevrolet El Camino! This vehicle is simply oozing American pride all over and is a tribute to those whove sacrificed so much for us, to allow us the FREEDOMS we all enjoy on a daily basis. Starting off, how could you not notice the wrap? Originally white, this vehicle has had a wrap placed on it by Hightech Signs, out of Rockwall, TX, depicting several iconic images by multiple branches of our military throughout time. Eloquently stating on both sides, Freedom isnt free. It also comes with a custom/removable flag stand & 5- flags, which easily bolts and unbolts in and out of the bed of this El Camino. The flags represent all 5-braches of the military, including the Coast Guard and are being sold with the vehicle. The mechanics of this vehicle were restored by Ziggys rods & customs and include the following work: Installed a rebuilt 305 Engine & 350 Transmission, installed a new radiator- with Flex-a-lite electric fans, added a Vintage A/C + Heating system, installed digital instrument gauges (Intellitronix), and went over the Power-Brakes, Power-Steering, & Power-Windows. The interior looks sharp and keeps with the Red, White, & Blue theme portrayed by the exterior. This was completed by Travis Upholstery, out of Royce City, TX. They even went as far as to add an American Flag on the glove box, which I found to be a nice touch and really tying it all together. Whether cruising this patriotic ride over to a local car-show or perhaps in a parade, youre sure to get plenty of compliments and have quite the conversation starter. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
