The Citroen 2CV AZ is the most sought-after model of the iconic French masterpiece. Produced from 1954 to 1960, it is the purely original 2CV model, yet a genuine daily driver. The AZ is recognisable by its long soft-top covering the trunk, its hood with side vents and of course, the inimitable sound of its 425cc air-cooled twin cylinder engine. The 2CV AZ is extremely rare, with only 600 estimated 2CV AZ still on the road, making the model presented here today, truly unique. This AZ is in an incredible condition, looking and driving like new. The car has been the subject of a body-off restoration with the sole purpose of maintaining originality wherever possible. The bodywork is sublime with straight and perfectly fitting panels. The underbody is very sound without signs of corrosion. The finish has a lovely lustre and the interior is as good as new without any signs of wear and tear. About Citroen
French industrialist André Citroën had been building arms for the French army during WWI by the end of the war he was left with great industrial facilities but no product for the post war market. In 1919 he founded Citroen that became the first mass-production car company outside the USA[3] and a pioneer of the modern marketing as well as factory backed services network. Mind you, even Eiffel Tower served as a billboard for Citroën from 1925 to 1934 -Mon Dieu, monsier!
Soon Citroën earned a reputation for innovation and revolutionary engineering. Staying true to their slogan "Créative Technologie" Citroën has many "firsts" under their belt:
