Ford Cabriolet 350 V8 1934

General description : 1934 Ford Cabriolet With their wide flowing fenders and their sloped grill there is something about the 34 Ford that just catches your eye.  These cars were not only popular when new but became even more desirable as the streetrodding trend grew.  This clean '34 Ford Cabriolet was done in a nice traditional style and has a very luxurious looking exterior.  It has been kept looking very original on the exterior with all the appropriate trim, bumpers, exterior door hinges and cowl lights.  The paint is done in a nice two tone Cream and Burgundy color that looks great.  They contrast each other nicely and really highlight the 34s unique body lines.  All of the bright work is in good condition with the traditional Greyhound ornament on the nose.  It sits on American Racing wheels with taller tires in the back which gives it a very nice side profile.  Under the 4 piece steel hood is a 350 V8 motor that is accented by tons of chrome and polished accessories.  It is fitted with a bat wing air cleaner, billet valve covers, billet spark plug wire looms, Edelbrock AFB carburetor, Holley performer intake, GM HEI ignition, chrome alternator, and polished AC compressor.  Paired with the motor is a Turbo 350 automatic transmission sending power back to the Ford 9 inch rear end.  Up front the car has had a Mustang II style suspension installed along with disc brakes.  The interior has been nicely done in a matching Burgundy cloth upholstery and a painted to match dash.  In addition to the bench seat it also has a finished out rumble seat in the trunk which has a power deck lid opened via a switch.  On the dash are VDO gauges in a billet bezel, a billet glove box cover, LED gear indicators and controls for the AC/Heat system.  Below the dash an aftermarket Kenwood AM/FM/CD player has been installed.  In front of the driver sits a tilt column with column shifter that is topped off with an aftermarket leather wrapped steering wheel.  The car also has power windows, door pins for the suicide doors, billet door knobs, custom arm rests, and a nice removable top.  This is a really neat 34 Cabriolet with a lot going for it.  All it needs is a new home! It is being offered up for the very reasonable price of $35,500.00!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
