Ford F-100 302 V8 1968

General description : COOL PATINA SLEEPER, STRONG 302 V8, AUTO C4, PB W/ DISCS, PS, DRIVES FANTASTIC

A 1968 Ford F-100 longbed truck already has the right workman attitude, and this one really maximizes that appeal. But take a closer look. As you dig a little deeper, you'll find a patina pickup with a serious sleeper attitude.
Longbed pickups already have a striking look. Plus, with the roof lights, towing mirrors, and large commercial-grade bumper with winch, this one has a tough-as-nails first impression. But as you take some time with this truck, you start to see some cool features. For example, the patina that has aged into this two-tone is now frozen in time thanks to a clearcoat. There are crystal clear headlights, and the tool box in the bed houses a fuel cell. And have you noticed the wheels yet? The old-school Ford caps and surface rust finish hide modern solid steel wheels. Oh yes, they have taken the time to make this F-100 secretly rewarding.
Inside is the same workman first impression. A wide bench seat with a classic blanket-style cover looks like what you get in a barn find. But then you notice the tall shifter, sports steering wheel, and upgraded tach. There's even an upgraded AM/FM radio with digital tuner. It has a retro-style presentation so that this stays a bit of a sleeper... at least until you turn the key.
Unlike the rest of this truck, the engine bay doesn't downplay its looks. Plenty of polished components, ribbed valve covers, and a matching air topper give this 302 cubic-inch V8 some nice flair. This crate V8 inhales deeply from a Holley four-barrel carburetor. And it exhales with authority as headers add even more power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. Not only does the setup sound great, but it's also built to be easily driven everywhere. That's why you a have features like a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and upgraded front disc brakes. Plus, as you look over the full photo file you'll see investments like the completely new front end for a confident feeling on the road, and there are extra wide performance tires in the rear for good traction.
This patina pickup is secretly rewarding, and the most satisfying part is that this whole package is offered for an unbeatable price. So don't miss out, call today!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
