Ford Fordor 1936

General description : 1936 Ford Tudor Sedan When searching for your next classic you can't go wrong if you are looking at the 1930's Fords.  This decade produced some of the most popular cars found in the classic car community and each year seemed to offer its own unique styling.  In 1936, Ford produced one of the classiest looking bodys of the decade and created the Tudor Sedan which offered a much more spacious interior than its Model A brethren.  The 1936 you see here is an all steel original 36 that currently resides with its second owner. It has been extremely well cared for since new accruing only 58,745 miles in its lifetime.  That's an average of only 750 miles per year!  The body is in great shape and still utilizes all of its original body panels.  It has been repainted and is coated in a nice pastel Yellow paint which really looks great on the car.  2 pinstripes run the entire length of the car and connect in the rear.  All of the original style trim is there with a V8 nose piece up front.  The original front and rear bumpers are nicely mounted in place and have a great finish.  This model utilizes the rear mounted spare which is incased in its original housing that is painted to match.  Black steel wheels sit under each corner and are fitted with beauty rings, V8 center caps and Wide white wall tires.  Each side of the hood opens independently towards the center reveling the original flathead motor.  The engine still runs strong and is mated with a 3 speed manual transmission that moves through the gears with ease.  It is a comfortable driver and many would be pleased to find this Ford is still powered by a Ford like it was from the factory.  The interior of the car is complete in the original style Brown cloth and has dual bucket seats up front.  The dash has been kept all original and coated in dark Brown with all of the stock gauges, knobs, switches, etc.  The original steering column is coated Black and topped off with the original steering wheel.  The tall manual shifter is routed through the floorboard as is the original emergency brake handle.  This is one clean looking classic that will always draw a crowd.  With its originality and low miles it is really a survivor car that has had 1 repaint.  Cars like that are getting harder to find so check it out while its still available! Being offered up at the reduced price of $28,500.00 $21,995.00!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
