Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is pleased to offer this beautiful 1977 Ford Ranchero! COUNT'S KUSTOMS was contracted to rebuild and customize this 1977 Ranchero which spent its entire life in Nevada. The $53,000 project started in early 2014 with the body being removed from the frame and the entire body, frame, suspension, and firewall sandblasted.

This Ranchero was intended to be driven frequently with lots of highway miles so the original 400 engine and automatic transmission were replaced with a more powerful and completely rebuilt paring. It now is powered by a 460 engine with a 429 intake manifold. A new out-of-the-box Holly 650 double pumper and fuel rail sit on top. The rebuilt transmission has an electronic gear vendor overdrive added to provide a smooth and more fuel-efficient ride on the highway. Finally, a B&M QuickSilver center council shifter was added to complete the "Hot Rod" power train.

During reassembly, all door, hood, and tailgate hinges were replaced. Under the hood Vintage Air (R-134A), a larger power brake booster, and a new radiator with dual electric fans were added. The water pump, fuel pump, power steering pump, spark plugs, and battery have also been replaced recently.
The "Count" put his custom touches on the new front grill assembly, and sleek tail lights, totally redone the interior and moved the gas fill door for the new 20-gallon gas tank to inside the bed.
The finishing touch was a Count's Kustom Paint job with an ocean shoreline theme. The owner who commissioned the build loved the ocean and visits it often. With this in mind the award-winning paint job depicts water and sand splashing behind each of the four tires and on the tailgate is a large wave
"waving" good-bye. White stripes run down the long hood providing the driver with something that catches the eye and the blue-with-white stripes theme was incorporated into the interior upholstery.

All the chrome was sent out to be re-chromed and all the stainless trim was buffed. All the suspension parts were replaced and 4-wheel disc brakes were installed. A new dual exhaust system from the headers to the chrome exhaust tips was added. It now rides on a set of 157 & 158 Cragar Vintage chrome 1 piece G/T 5 spoke wheels.

Since its completion in March 2014, it has been entered in numerous car and truck shows winning several of them. Total miles are driven by this Customized 1977 Ranchero since completion is just over 5000 miles.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
