Ford Roadster 1937

General description : One day we might look back and consider today the zenith of street rodding. With an endless assortment of components, a deep pool of talent and many ways to fuse the two together, the possibilities are simply limitless. And the best part is: modern rods can be as driver-friendly as production cars while offering twice the style! The artistic culmination of custom leather, a professionally polished profile and small block Chevrolet power, this spectacular roadster is about as nice as hot rods come. And with modern audio, Vintage Air climate control and a custom chassis, it's a fully sorted cruiser that's ready for years of enjoyment. Want to view the street rod scene from the best seat in the house? Take a close look at this awesome Ford!
THE SHAPE OF CUSTOM STYLE
Sourced from Coast To Coast Street Rods of Beauceville, Quebec City, Canada, this hot roadster's quality fiberglass body was super clean before its six-figure build even started. But nonetheless, the car was subjected to a full, ground-up massage that included hours of labor-intensive prep. Naturally, that dramatic attention to detail was highlighted in equally dramatic pigment, which manifests as sweet House Of Kolor Tangerine Kandy. And today, with an undeniable nod to timeless Ford design, this classic rolls as a banner show piece that celebrates the best virtues of modern street rodding.
Thanks to high quality trim and first-rate form, this hot rod really puts the 'cool' in old school. At the front of the car, hand-made billet bends an artistic grille between alluring '37 Ford headlights. Those bezels lead airbrushed spears, which stretch between slinky mirrors and chrome Chrysler door handles that pop predictable Carriage Doors. Those doors swivel between fiberglass boards and a lift-off top that's finished with tight black cloth. And behind that cloth, a smooth decklid centers a frenched tag between polished exhaust and custom LED taillights that feature airbrushed bezels.
SMOOTH STYLE, SMOOTH POWER
If you think the exterior of this classic is impressive, you're going to LOVE what's under its hood! Smooth, sorted and ready to roll, the car's high performance LT1 is widely regarded as one of the best small blocks ever produced. At the front of that Corvette-sourced mill, a polished serpentine drive spins lucid power steering opposite a chromed alternator and a chromed AC compressor. A polished air cleaner fronts proven Street & Performance fuel injection. That system feeds a dressed factory intake, which feeds factory aluminum heads and GM-spec internals. A relocated battery provides fire for loomed Taylor plug wires. Spent gases exit through coated block hugger headers. And cooling comes courtesy of a big Performance Rod & Custom radiator that's backed by a color-keyed puller fan. Visually, not a detail was missed under this Ford's tidy bonnet. Niceties like chromed valve covers, chromed breathers, braided hoses and a polished oil pan give the color-keyed small block decidedly show worthy aesthetics. And the car's Tangerine Kandy engine bay stands a smooth firewall behind polished dipsticks, polished fluid reservoirs and a polished starter.
CUSTOM STYLE, CUSTOM FOUNDATION
This roadster's pert profile and proven powerplant roll on a custom chassis that's been professionally smoothed and fully painted. The spry small block torques a dressed and cooled 700R4 4-speed, which spins a painted driveshaft that turns big 4.10 gears. That slick drivetrain pushes a fourth generation Corvette rear-clip behind a Mustang II-style front-clip. Naturally, that fully independent suspension has been fitted with adjustable Air Ride Technologies bags that are fully programmable. Turns come courtesy of power rack-and-pinion steering. A polished brake booster jolts modern calipers, which clamp cross-drilled rotors. At the center of the floor, custom, fully coated exhaust breathes through coated SpinTech mufflers. And at the corners of the chassis, stylish Boyd Coddington blades turn 215/45ZR17 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As in front of 295/40R20 Falken Azenis.
THE FEEL OF GOOD TIMES
Pop this classic's suicide doors and you'll find a full custom interior that perfectly matches the aforementioned hardtop. Stylish leather sills cage clean carpet beneath billet foot pedals and sculpted side panels that front modern power windows and modern power door locks. Plush seats, dotted with stylish ostrich accents, frame a tiered console that's centered on a chromed Lokar shifter. A Tangerine Kandy dash streaks custom airbrush art through Classic Instruments Velocity telemetry. The driver spins a polished and ostrich-wrapped steering wheel around a polished, tilting column. Naturally, the car's trunk features a full suite of leather and ostrich. Professionally installed audio pipes a rearview camera through Pioneer touchscreen command while bumping tunes through hidden Blaupunkt amps and crisp Infinity speakers. Easy miles pass thanks to modern Cruise Control. And if owning this classic doesn't make you cool enough, there's a whole Vintage Air climate system at your fingertips.
Despite the availability of components, building a quality street rod that looks, runs and drives as it should is still a serious undertaking. The builders of this Ford didn't cut a single corner, and it shows from every angle. With all the right parts, and tasteful looks that will always draw a crowd, this slick little roadster would be a great addition to any garage. About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
