Ford T-Bucket 327 V8 1923

General description : 1923 Ford T Bucket Custom If you have never had the opportunity to cruise around in a T-Bucket you are really missing.  These things are raw power.  Sitting behind the wheel looking over the motor with the wind blowing past you gives you a feeling that not all classics can.  There is no question to why TBuckets have a huge following because many people build their first and are hooked on them from then on.  This 23 T has a very cool look and was built with every possible feature you could want in a Bucket.  It has a fiberglass body with the pickup style short bed behind the main cab.  It is painted in Black with the old school theme flames that transition from Yellow to Red then Blue on the tips.  On the back is a desert themed mural that has a ghosted Ford emblem hidden inside and it also features nice pinstriping accents throughout.  It has the tall double stacked front windshield with the support beams that run down to the frame.  The headlights are nice round traditional chrome lights and the taillights are very cool vintage lamps.  All of these little features work together nicely for that perfect throw back hot rod look.  The wheels are Weld Racing wheels with wide Hoosier radials in the back.  When you run with an exposed motor like this it better be worth showing off.  Well that isn't a concern here because the 327 V8 is topped with tons of chrome and was cleanly done with the block, heads and transmission painted Yellow.  The motor was very well built and runs great.  It features Dual Holley 600 carbs, an Edelbrock tunnel ram high rise intake, a billet scoop, Offenhauser valve covers, braided lines, Cool Flex radiator hose, and Accel wires.  The car sounds awesome through the nicely shining 4 to 1 side pipes.  The transmission is a Turbo 350 automatic that moves through the gears smoothly with no problems.  Other nice mechanical features include the brass radiator, front disc brakes, chrome drop axle, quick change rear end and a 14 gallon aluminum gas tank.    The interior of the car is ton in a Tan color which matches the brand new canvas top.  It has a bench seat which is in good shape and the carpet is brand new as well.  The steering wheel setup is a classic design for TBuckets and next to it on the floor is mounted a B&M quicksilver shifter and Ebrake.  On the dash are white faced Equus gauges and toggle switches for the lights and electric fan.  This very cool T-Bucket has a great look and drives extremely well.  Whether you are sitting still at a show or cruising down the road it is guaranteed to turn heads.  If you have been entertaining the idea of a T-Bucket this is definitely one to check out.  You couldn't build it for this price so don't miss it! About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
