Ford Tudor Crate 350 V8 1932

General description : 1932 Ford Tudor Sedan Custom Often times with these 32 Ford street rods you are limited on who you can bring with you to the show because they usually only fit 2 people and even that is cramped at times.  That is no issue in this beautiful Tudor Sedan though!  In this well built street rod the whole family can join you when cruising around.  This car is extremely well built from top to bottom and just has a great look.  It is true Henry Ford original steel which makes it a lot more desirable than it's fiberglass counterpart.  It is painted in an Indigo Blue paint that is absolutely beautiful when you get it out in the sun.  It sits on a modified original frame and although it gets driven the undercarriage still looks great.  The front and rear bumpers are polished out stainless steel and have a great shine.  Some of the body modifications include a smooth filled roof, filled cowl vent, filled grill shell and louvered side panels all of which were very well done.  With poor workmanship these filled areas will show up under the paint but on this car you can't even tell they were once there.  The car still has the pop out front windshield which is framed with nice chrome plated trim.  The chrome windshield wipers are electric 2 speed with self cancelling.  Swan neck mirrors are mounted to both doors and are nicely chromed.  It has SS 32 tail lights in back with LED lights and a 3rd brake light was also added in the window for extra visibility.  The SS grill insert up front looks great and sits behind the dropped headlight bar that runs between the two King Bee chrome headlights.  Front turn signals are in place under the fenders on each side where the spreader bar attaches.  The car has a great stance and rides around on Wheelsmith steel wheels with 42 Ford hubcaps and beauty rings.  Those are wrapped with fresh tires that were just installed less than 1,000 miles ago.  The motor is a 350V8 260hp crate motor that has less than 15,000 miles on it.  It utilizes a Edlebrock 600cfm carb, Edelbrock manifold, HEI distributor, Hi temp super stock wires, and has been dressed up with chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner.  A Walker radiator has been added with a water pump riser, radiator recovery system and shroud to eliminate any cooling issues.  The car sounds great with Ram Horn exhaust manifolds into dual glass packs exiting out of the rear.  Backing the motor is a rebuilt Turbo 350 automatic transmission that sends power back to the Ford 9 inch rear end with 2:80 gears.  It was set up to be a really comfortable cruiser that handles both in town and highway driving well.  The suspension has been redone with custom built adjustable coil overs, rear sway bar and a 4 inch front drop axle with triangulated 4 link and panhard bar.  The brakes are non power but have no issues and utilize disc up front with drum in rear.  An aftermarket Flaming River steering box was installed and the car turns easily.  It really is a great driver through and through and even has cruise control!  There are zero electrical issues and it has a painless wiring harness with electric cut off.  The battery is in a drop out box under the floor.    The inside of the car was done in Ultra leather with gray tweed inserts.  It has bucket seats in front and a bench seat in the rear with lap belts.  The window cranks are chrome as well as the door handles which are brand new.  A Lokar shifter is run through the center of the floor with a chrome emergency brake handle to the side.  The dash is painted the same color as the body and topped with Black faced Moon gauges and chrome vents for the aftermarket AC/Heat system.  The Ididit tilt column is painted to match as well and fitted with a LeCarra steering wheel.  This is a very nicely built car that is ready to go anywhere.  It is high quality throughout and in addition to just looking great rolls down the road great as well.  You don't see a lot of these Tudor Sedans on the road especially set up as nice as this one.  Take it home for NOW REDUCED DOWN TO $54,950.00!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
