Jaguar E-type Series 2 LHD Manual gearbox version 1970

General description : We have a very nice 1970 Jaguar E-type S2 OTS on offer. The car has a lovely Signal Red finish with a black leather interior trim. The Series 2 was the next stage of development following on from the E-Type Series . Headlights without the “eyebrows” and a larger grill set the S2 apart from the S1. The Series 2 has a 4.2 litre straight -six coupled to a manual 4-speed transmission. Our E-Type is in excellent health. The original panelwork is nice and thin and correctly aligned. The paintwork. is overall in good condition bar a few minor blemishes. The brightwork and chrome wire wheels have been properly looked after. The black leather interior trim and black carpets are in very good shape. The instrument cluster and switches are neat and in good working order. The linen hood is in good shape and is easy to use and closes securely. The matching tonneau cover is included in the inventory. Mechanically the car is also quite sound. The engine has only ever needed correct servicing due to its low mileage of just 15,786 miles. The 4.2 litre engine runs smoothly and makes light work of the less than 1,300 kilogram light British sports car. The manual gearbox contributes with its ease of use to the car's sporty character. This E-Type came to the Netherlands in 1994, with the previous owner having owned it since 2009. Over the last 11 years the car has wanted for nothing with the Jaguar enjoying very good care and attention, as the accompanying invoices attest to. The documentation pack also contains an original owner’s manual and a number of photos relating to work carried out on the transmission and rear axle. In short a we have a very well maintained Jaguar E-Type Series 2 OTS in a lovely finish. Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975!
