Jaguar E-type OTS series 1 Fully restored example 1967

General description : The Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Open Two Seater (OTS) is one of the most beautiful cars ever built. Our car was supplied through the American, New York Jaguar dealership in 1967. The car has recently undergone a nut & bolt restoration, carried out by a leading Jaguar E-Type specialist in the Netherlands. The car was completely dissembled and has only driven 2.000 kilometres since the restoration. The chassis has been perfectly restored. The bodywork followed with exquisite results. The bodywork has nice and thin, perfectly aligned panelwork. The chrome brightwork shines brilliantly. The E-Type was then finished in Opalescent Gun Metal Grey in combination with red leather interior trim. The car been fitted with a new black Mohair hood, which is in great shape and fits like a glove. Inside the car is as a gorgeous as it is on the outside. The lovely supple red leather is in peak condition. The carpets are pristine and have been perfectly fitted. The dashboard, the instruments and switching gear all look great and are in prime condition. This Jaguar has its original, matching numbers engine, having been fully rebuilt during the restoration process. The 4.2 litre straight-six used was a completely newly designed unit replacing the earlier 3.8 litre engine. The engine produces 265 Ps, the same as the old 3.8, but with 10% more torque makes it a lot nicer to drive. This all makes this E-Type a great car to drive around in. Effortless forwards motion at modern speeds posses no problem for this stylish British Grand Tourer. The precise gearbox is a 4-speed manual. Being a manual elevates and draws one in closer to the driving experience. Replacement suspension, brakes and tyres also formed part of the restoration. The car brakes and steers like a new E-Type. Just as it should be, this Jaguar E-Type OTS proudly stands on lovely wire rims with the wooden Mota Lita steering wheel taking pride of place inside. We wholeheartedly recommend this fantastically restored, matching numbers 1967 Jaguar E-Type OTS. Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975! About Jaguar E-type
The Jaguar E-Type FHC (Fixed Head Coupe) is a classic sports car that was produced by the British automaker Jaguar Cars from 1961 to 1974. It is often regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever produced, with its long, sleek hood, flowing curves, and aggressive stance.

The E-Type FHC was derived from the D-Type race car that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955, 1956, and 1957. It was powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six engine that produced up to 265 horsepower and featured advanced suspension and braking systems, with independent suspension and disc brakes on all four wheels.

The E-Type FHC was known for its exceptional handling and performance, with a top speed of up to 150 mph and acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 6.7 seconds. Its design was also innovative for its time, featuring an independent rear suspension and a monocoque construction.

The Jaguar E-Type FHC became an iconic car of the 1960s and was favored by celebrities and enthusiasts alike. OTS i.e The Jaguar E-Type Roadster became an iconic car of the 1960s and was favored by celebrities wanting to be seen in their car.
