MG Midget 1947

General description : Uniek! Deze MG TC Midget gebouwd in 1948 kwamen wij op het spoor in de Amerikaanse staat Californie waar deze zijn volledige leven spendeerde in een uiterst gunstig droog klimaat. De laatste eigenaar Mr. Phillips bezat de auto vanaf 1987 toen hij deze kocht van Mr. Hilmer die getuige de uitgebreide hoeveelheid onderhoudsgeschiedenis sowieso vanaf 1962 in bezit had. De conditie van de auto is uiterst origineel en gevormd door de tand des tijds, in deze staat naar onze mening vele malen mooier dan gerestaureerde exemplaren en een lust voor liefhebbers van originaliteit. Zowel de carrosserie als het chassis zijn met hulp van het droge klimaat keurig bewaard gebleven en de roestduivel heeft niet toegeslagen. De motor loopt mooi en de TC is goed rijdend. In het interieur zijn de fraaie authentieke instrumenten aanwezig en intact, absoluut en lust voor het oog! Originele softtop en zijruiten zijn aanwezig evenals een tonneau cover. In de periode van 1945 tot en met 1949 werden er maar liefst 10.001 exemplaren gebouwd en de MG TC wordt gezien als de aanleiding van de sportwagen rage in Amerika. Ondanks dat een substantieel deel van de gebouwde exemplaren een Amerikaanse bestemming kreeg werden alle exemplaren met besturing aan de rechterzijde geleverd.
