Porsche 911 2.7 Turbo 3.0 "Ur-Turbo" 1976

General description : There are many peaks in the life story of the Porsche 911. One of them refers to the car we are now proudly offering you: the 911 Turbo! This car was introduced to the public in 1974. The Turbo could clearly be recognised by its huge rear spoiler and the widened body. The first generation of this model – 3.0 litre/260 hp – is seen as the ‘Ur-Turbo’ by many enthusiasts and collectors and is the most sought after example. The car at hand belongs this generation. On 30 June 1976, 9306700652 was registered with its first owner, Mr Schneider from Lübeck, Germany. A copy of the ‘Fahrzeugbrief’ (a vehicle registration certificate) has been preserved. The amount of documentation that comes with the car maps the car’s entire life journey. In 1985, the car switched ownership. The new owner, Steve Less from the USA, used the car sparingly. In fact, from 1986 to 1997, the car had no use at all. Then the car came into the hands of Mr J. Kupczyk, who was also based in the USA. He took well care of the car as borne out by the numerous invoice. In 2013, with a mileage of 41,723 km, the car returned to its country of origin. The new owner, Mr P. Scherer, ordered a very extensive technical revision. He invested tens of thousands of euros in the car. The extensive valuation report that was drawn up at the end of 2013 gave 9306700652 a ‘note 1’ appreciation in all categories. In 2016, the car came to the Netherlands. An exceptionally beautiful car, but the engine had some issues. Given the car’s excellent state, and its rich history, it was decided to embark on a complete overhaul of the engine. The invoice totalling 26,000 euros shows the work done in great detail. After this revision, the car covered only 500 km, and it will require some patience before the car’s power can be fully put to use again. What we have to offer: A first generation, iconic ‘Ur 911 Turbo’, certified by Porsche AG, fully matching (VIN, engine number, gear box, colour, interior) and fitted with a sliding roof. The lying parts were repainted, the other parts still have their original coating. The interior of the car has not been touched. The original manual and a wealth of invoices and documents describing the life of this spectacular car have been preserved. In short, a chance for drivers, collectors and investors alike!

About Porsche 911 2.7
The Porsche 911 2.7 is a popular choice for hobbyist car enthusiasts due to its classic styling, excellent driving dynamics, and iconic status as one of the most recognizable sports cars of all time.

The 911 2.7 was produced from 1974 to 1977 and is known for its distinctive "ducktail" rear spoiler and its lightweight, agile handling. It was powered by an air-cooled, flat-six engine that produced 150-175 horsepower, depending on the model year.

For hobbyist car enthusiasts, the 911 2.7 can be a rewarding project due to its relatively simple mechanical design and the availability of aftermarket parts and upgrades. Restoring or modifying a 911 2.7 can be a challenging but rewarding experience, allowing enthusiasts to customize the car to their individual preferences and create a one-of-a-kind driving machine.

One potential drawback of the 911 2.7 as a hobbyist car is its age, which can lead to issues with rust, wear and tear, and mechanical problems. However, with proper care and maintenance, these issues can be addressed
